Christmas time is almost upon us and chances are you might be looking for some great stocking stuffers for your loved ones. And if you have any mermaids in your life, you may want to consider some cool stocking stuffers for scuba divers. To help you out, I have put together a list of useful and pretty things that are perfect gifts for divers and that will fit into any stocking.

Cool stocking stuffers for scuba divers

Whether you are on a small budget or you want to splurge, these thoughtful scuba diving stocking stuffers will show any diver a little bit of underwater Christmas love.

Dive Supplies that fit in a stocking

Admittedly it is a little tricky to find stocking stuffers for scuba divers that are strictly scuba related. While you could probably fit a mask in a stocking, it is one of those pieces of gear that should fit perfectly and needs to be tried on.

But don’t worry – here are some scuba diving stocking stuffers that will surely hit the mark and still be a surprise. Reel, tank bangers, and customizable mouthpieces might be not the most glamourous gift but they are super useful. And any tec or sidemount diver will be super happy about some extra xDeep clips. They are honestly the best on the market (no sidemount fingers!) but they are incredibly expensive as least as far as clips go. I almost cried when I lost one during my tec course so I think they make a great stocking stuffer for divers.

For the Christmas Tree

Want to merge your love for the ocean and scuba diving with your Christmas decorations? No problem, because I have found some beautiful ornaments that bring a visual ocean breeze to your tree. And yes, some are appropriately cheesy but honestly, who can resist Santa & his trusted sharkie?

Stockings for the Stockings

Stuff socks with socks? Of course because what would be better as stocking stuffers for scuba divers than stockings? Whether you are looking for a practical gift for cold water divers or to keep someone’s feet warm and toasty when they are on dry land, scuba socks are a great and inexpensive gift for divers.

Smells of the Ocean

Not a fan of typical Christmas smells like cinnamon, cookie dough, and pine trees? Scent your home with an ocean breeze from a candle instead which will take you right back to your last holiday by the sea.

Remember your dive

There is something beautiful about handwritten log books to remember your dives. While I personally don’t log my dives anymore it is such a great way to remember special trips and add useful notes like exposure suit worn or weight needed in a certain type of environment.
Also: if you are planning to take certain PADI courses (the same goes for other agencies) you will need to show proof of your logged dives so dive log books make for great scuba stocking stuffers.

Keep warm

Need to keep warm while out of the water? Mugs make for great scuba diving stocking stuffers and will remind you that the next dive trip is just around the corner.

And yes, while I completely agree that mugs that reveal a picture when filled with a hot beverage are super kitschy, they are also super fun.

Roll ‘n Stuff

I only recently started using the age-old trick of rolling my clothes to save space in my luggage. Now I usually roll up my Waterlust leggings as well as my DSMB and stuff them in my fins when traveling. You can apply the same principle when putting these useful and pretty things in a stocking for Christmas!

Dive Hair don’t care

Scuba divers with long hair can attest to the underwater struggle to maintain their locks. Sun masks, headbands, mask straps, and hair-friendly scrunchies (yes, we are wearing scrunchies again!) make the whole thing a lot easier. Even better if they come in your favorite marine animal pattern.

Jewelry

Christmas needs a little sparkle and this ocean-inspired jewelry fits even in the tiniest stockings. Whether your favorite ocean animal is a manta, a shark, or Nemo – there are so many cute necklaces or bracelets that will remind you of your favorite encounter, or as a good-luck charm to see one soon.
And best of all: many companies that make ocean-inspired pieces even donate a portion of their profits to ocean and marine life conservation!
